Technical Issues and Playing with Scraps

As my own Webmaster, I must deal with the ebb and flow of technical issues.  Extra security put in place by the web host took a while to understand.  Regardless, I have conquered it and here I am.

I really like being in charge in my own website.  I am completely responsible for the content and can update it any time I need to.  I love that aspect.  The down side is that I am completely responsible for the content and can update it any time I need to – whether I want to or not.   My list of things to do is long, but I have been working on sewing instead.

I am in a study group we call Serendipity Stitchers as part of the Rocky Mountain Creative Quilters.

We are working on a group quilt.  Each of us is making four, 12″ squares using the colors from a focus fabric we chose.  Here is one of my blocks.  I started playing with curves and the decorative stitches on my machine.  What fun it is to play.

We all shared snippets of fabric, ribbon, thread and other embellishment materials.  This is such a good way to go through scraps and combine them with other stuff and create a piece I really like.  The other blocks are just as fun.  We have a really creative group.  I look forward to sharing the final quilt which must be done by Aug 15 to enter into a show.

Explore your creativity through any means – either through playing, working hard on a piece you are really committed to or invested in, or by writing a blog and sharing your experience.  Regardless – Create!!  It is what we do.
