I knew the Galapagos Islands are special, with wildlife and spectacular view. Everything I saw exceeded my expectations.

Not just seeing the animals and birds. . .

But seeing the colors and the textures of the islands. Each island had its own character; desert, volcanic, tropical highlands, beach.

To survive here means one must be strong and adaptable. To live here is to be surrounded by amazing beauty.

We had the opportunity to walk close to animals, then sit and watch, quietly becoming part of their landscape. It was a gift to experience nature in this way; being an insignificant in their world, merely an observer.
Now that we are back, it is our role to actively conserve our earth, stop global warming, and let nature heal. I see a Galapagos series coming in time to focus attention to this task.
