Starting from Scratch

The first day of my life as a blogger.  So, I guess it is time to start telling my story, or at least parts of it.

We just returned from a trip to the Berkshires – camping along the Mass/Vermont border.  It was a beautiful weekend.  As usual, I was the lady navigator.  I only got us lost once; not really lost, just a little confused.  But, we did find Lenox, the town where Tanglewood is.  And, it was opening weekend, so it was a bit busy.  After lunch, we headed up further north, over Mt Greylock and to the campsite.

Saturday, we headed up into Vermont.  In Brattleboro, the Driver Spouse had found such an interesting fabric store on the web, Delectable Mountain Cloth.  The name says it all.  The silks, linens and buttons are just the start.  He even went wandering around town while I pet the fabrics and made my selection – a beautiful silk panel with a contrasting border solid.

The rest of the weekend was sightseeing and finding good food.  We did a short train trip on the Berkshire Scenic Railway. Trains are such a civilized way to travel.

Next time, I’ll talk more about quilting.  My travels inspire many of my quilts.  At least this is a start.
