Wow!! I have had my first quilt accepted in a juried, national quilt show. Seashell, made with Ro Gregg’s Marblehead Global Brights from Fabri-quilt will be on display from April 30 to May 2 at the Denver Mart.
Seashell was one of the first original blocks I made into a quilt. Working in EQ7, I love to rotate and flip blocks to see what secondary patterns emerge. This block is made of half-square triangles with asymmetrical patches. The color/value choices and the asymmetry create the patterns. The pattern for Seashell (MLG-102) is on my website, MLFiberArts.com
There will several special exhibits including a SAQA: Colorado, Wyoming and Utah exhibit called Inspiration. I will be hanging that exhibit with my Red Sky, along with about 40 other member quilts.
If you are in the area, please attend the Denver show.
