We were traveling through Bourbon Country. Of course we had to stop at a distillery. And, we picked a great one to tour. Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, KY.
We were able to see the whole process, from the incoming corn to the cooking vats, to the still . . .
to the drawing off of the distillate (the white light’en) . . .
to the warehouse. . .
then on to the bottling line and the tasting room. It was a great tour. If you have limited time, I would highly recommend this tour.
It took us a little longer to get to Lexington than we thought it would from Paducah. And why were we in Paducah, you ask? Stay tuned. . .
