Last weekend, we went to see the Colorado State University Annual Trial Garden. They test annuals to see the additional irrigation they need in this climate and what flowers do well. The local nurseries then carry those flowers that win the prizes.

The gardens are lovely to walk through. The university also has a perennial garden that we walked through. They have shrubs, trees and grasses. What a resource for inspiration, both for a garden and quilting. I loved the big blooms and vibrant colors.
Of course, can I remember the name of the flower variety???
I see some quilts coming out of these.
